Hello to the Saints of EBC,

It's a wet day but we need the moisture for the new growth all around us. Last night at Prayer Meeting we considered our God's Faithfulness before we gave thanks to Him and interceded for others. The Scriptures are replete with references to this wonderful attribute of God. The hymn, "Great is Thy Faithfulness" was taken from Lamentations 3:22-23 - "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness."  

The gods of the Old and New Testament times constantly threatened the people with judgment. As a result, they lived in fear with multiple and constant sacrifices to appease their angry deities. Not so with us. God is reconciled to us through the death of His Son on the cross as we saw last Sunday. We have remission, redemption, and reconciliation which make us complete in Him. We are not consumed by anger, but embraced by His love. Think about that today.
